The Jocelyn Herbert Lecture: Rae Smith - 3D Imagination
Rae Smith, the award-winning designer of wonder.land, This House and War Horse (NT), Cavalleria Rusticana / Pagliacci (Met Opera) and Stella (for Neil Bartlett), has exhibited her War Horse art work at the Lowry, The Light Box, The Illustration Cupboard and the V&A, and drawn live in performance with Michael Morpurgo, John Tams and The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall.
In this Lecture, she explores drawing as an expression of thinking, communication and imagination. Using the latest 3D drawing tool, she illustrates how designing a show using this technology can enhance the act of imagination and contribute a method of designing in performance. raesmith.co.uk
