The Jocelyn Herbert Lecture: Sian Thomas, Lions and Nightingales | December 2015
This lecture is a rare opportunity to hear an actor speak publicly on the subject of theatre design. It has been timed to coincide with the NT’s exhibition of the Linbury Prize for Theatre Design, which students attending the lecture will also be able to visit.

As a member of the cast of Square Rounds and The Kaisers of Carnuntum, both designed by Jocelyn Herbert and written and directed by Tony Harrison, and as the partner of Tony Harrison in private life, Sian Thomas brings a unique and intimate perspective to the remarkable professional relationship which developed between designer and poet/playwright/director over a twenty year period.
